The Birth of Christ...

Volume 2.5

Welcome to Life is for Living 2009. We are excited about the Life is for Living blog and hope you are too! We believe that the Lord created each human being with a purpose, a destiny, and a future. As this year comes to a close, and you begin to look forward to next year, look upward to God for His guidance and His will for your life. This holiday season place your faith in the Lord and put your life in His hands. He is there and He will not fail you or let you down. The Lord Jesus Christ loves you and has a special plan and purpose for your life. When you go throughout your day and walk out the busyness of your life try to remember to stop, thank Him for His many blessings, and enjoy His beautiful creation! Remember that “Life is for Living!”

Daily Bread- Luke 2:1-20 NAS;

And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. "This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased." When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, "Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us." So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year. It is filled with holiday cheer, family gatherings, and presents under the tree. Christmas is also a special time to remember the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and it is a time to give Him thanks for His many blessings in our lives, and for His birth, death, and resurrection. The Bible says in Philippians 2:7 NLT; “Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form.” Jesus Christ chose to give Himself as a living sacrifice. He chose to come to earth, be born a man; take on the sins of mankind and die on the cross that all may receive salvation and live in His divine hope and glory. It is God’s heart that each and every person be reconciled to Him through the acceptance of His Son Jesus Christ. It is only in this acceptance that you can be forgiven of your sins and be made right before your Creator.

When Christ died on the cross and rose again, He had you in mind. God loves all people. He knows each person by name. He has the very hairs on your head numbered. And He knows the specific plan and purpose that He has destined for your life. Just as Jesus Christ had a purpose and a destiny on earth, He has given you a specific purpose in life also. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV says; “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Because of Christ’ birth, death, and resurrection you have been given hope and a future. It does not matter who you are, what you have done, or what you may believe about yourself. God loves you; and He desires for you to know Him as your Heavenly Father and as your Savior. He is reaching out to you in this very moment. Reach out and take His hand. Allow Him access to your heart and to your life. He will not fail you or let you down. He will stand with you through every trial and be there through every dark moment. He truly is The Hope of Glory!

If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior; or if you would like to rededicate your life to the Lord, please pray this prayer aloud to Him;

Dear Lord Jesus,

I give You my life and I give You my heart. I ask that You would forgive me of my sins and wash me clean with Your blood. I dedicate my life to You; and I ask You to be my personal Lord and Savior. I commit from this day forward to serve You and to live for You; and I ask that You would reveal Your plan and purpose for my life. I ask that You by Your power and presence would touch my life and reveal Yourself to me in a greater way. I thank You for this and for Your many blessings. I thank You for Your birth; and for Your death and resurrection. I thank You that from this day forward my life will never be the same again.

In Jesus Mighty Name I Pray,

Amen

Faith Can Move Mountains...

Volume 2.4

Welcome to Life is for Living 2009. We are excited about the Life is for Living blog and hope you are too! We believe that the Lord created each human being with a purpose, a destiny, and a future. As you place your faith in the Lord and put your life in His hands, you can be assured that He is there. He will not fail you or let you down. The Lord Jesus Christ loves you and has a special plan and purpose for your life. When you go throughout your day and walk out the busyness of your life try to remember to stop, thank Him for His many blessings, and enjoy His beautiful creation! Remember that "Life is for Living!"

Daily Bread- “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 NIV

The Lord is not looking for a perfect person. He is not looking for a person without blemish or mistakes. He is not looking for a person that knows how to recite every scripture or pray every prayer. He is looking for a yielded person, one that is willing to serve Him with their whole heart. He is looking for an individual with enough faith to trust Him and to place their life in His hands. He is looking for a person that will love Him enough to say; “Yes Lord. Choose me. I will go where you call me to go, and I will do what you call me to do.” To say these words to the Lord and truly mean it takes faith. The kind of faith that says; “No matter what I may face, no matter what I may walk through; I trust the Lord enough to say yes to Him and to yield myself to His will, purpose, and destiny for my life.” For it is with this kind of faith that mountains are moved.

In Mark 12:41-43 we see an example of extraordinary faith displayed;

Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling His disciples to Him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” Mark 12:41-43 NIV

This poor widow displayed her faith through her offering that day. It was not about the size of the offering; but the price she paid in giving it and the faith she showed in doing so. She had faith, knowing that if she gave what she had, God would take care of her and supply her every need. She could have held on to the money. She could have walked away and not given an offering. Instead, she decided to exercise her faith and give out of her lack and poverty. It was in this act that she pleased God. Not because she gave money, but because she did it in faith. And in doing so, she moved the heart of God.

In everything that you do, do it in faith; believing that the Lord is there and He will take care of you and see you through every trial and circumstance. The Bible says; “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NIV

Today, I encourage you to place your life in the hands of the Lord. I encourage you to have faith; and to entrust your future and your destiny into the Lord’s keeping. I encourage you to seek the Lord in all He has for you. I encourage you to believe. Believe that God exists. Believe that He is there. And believe that He will not fail you.

You can start by praying this prayer aloud to Him;

Dear Lord Jesus,

I give You my life and I give You my future. I know that You hold my very life in Your hands and my destiny is Yours Lord. I release my faith for all that You have for me and I believe that You by Your might and power will bring to pass all that You have purposed for me. I trust You Lord. I believe You Lord. And I love You Lord.

In Jesus Mighty Name I Pray,

Amen

Date Idea of the Month- Do an activity with your loved one! Take a bike ride, a walk, or a jog with your spouse. Shoot some basketball hoops or play catch. Breaking a sweat and doing it together can be a great way to bond; and it can be a good way to encourage one another when it comes to health and fitness. After you’re done, enjoy a healthy lunch together and savor your accomplishment!

Family Time Idea of the Month- Thanksgiving is right around the corner! During this time it is about being with family and being thankful to the Lord for all of the many blessings He has bestowed upon your lives. This month, take an opportunity to sit down with your spouse and children and each of you take an opportunity to share what you are thankful for. Try to focus on things that do not hold monetary value like; friends, family, God’s love, your pets, and the love you share together as a family. Take this time to express your appreciation and love for one another. At the end of this time, when everyone has shared, bow your heads for a prayer together and thank the Lord for His many blessings upon your lives and family. This is a wonderful way to bond with your family, and to remember all of the wonderful treasures the Lord has given you.

Movie Must See- "Fred Claus"

“Fred Claus” is a film about Fred and his over achieving brother Santa Claus. These two brothers are the complete opposites. Santa Claus is giving, warm, and thinks of everyone else before himself. Fred is selfish, cynical, and only out for himself. Throughout Fred’s life he has felt over shadowed by his brother; and has harbored resentment and jealousy all along the way. When Fred asks his brother for a financial loan, his brother says yes, under one condition; Fred must travel to the North Pole and help the elves for Christmas. Fred reluctantly agrees and the adventure begins. Throughout this film tempers are tested and the love of family is tried. Yet one truth remains, Fred and Santa Claus share a resilient bond; the bond of brotherhood. “Fred Claus” is fun, warm, and laugh out loud funny; and it carries just the right message for this time of the year! This film is a must see! This film stars Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti, and is rated PG.

Music Must Hear- Faith Hill

The album “Joy To The World” by Country Music singer Faith Hill; this is a beautiful Christmas album with original music, and filled with all of the Christmas classics we know and love. “Joy To The World,” “What Child Is This,” and “A Baby Changes Everything” are just a few of the tracks on this amazing album. It is a must hear!

Bible Verse of the Month- “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 NIV

Jesus Christ Saves...

Volume 2.3

Welcome to Life is for Living 2009. We are excited about the Life is for Living blog and hope you are too! We believe that the Lord created each human being with a purpose, a destiny, and a future. As you place your faith in the Lord and put your life in His hands, you can be assured that He is there. He will not fail you or let you down. The Lord Jesus Christ loves you and has a special plan and purpose for your life. When you go throughout your day and walk out the busyness of your life try to remember to stop, thank Him for His many blessings, and enjoy His beautiful creation! Remember that "Life is for Living!"

Daily Bread- God loves you more than you could ever know. He loves you so much that He offers you a precious gift; the gift of salvation. The Bible says; “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17) NIV

In Luke 23:33-46 (NAS) it says;

When they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. But Jesus was saying, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing "And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves. And the people stood by, looking on. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One." The soldiers also mocked Him, coming up to Him, offering Him sour wine, and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself!" Now there was also an inscription above Him, "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS." One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, "Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!" But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?” And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong." And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!" And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise." It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour, because the sun was obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, "Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT." Having said this, He breathed His last.
Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, and He rose from the dead on the third day. He now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven, and He desires to be your Lord and Savior. He desires to be your ever present help in a time of need and your everlasting redeemer. You might be thinking that you have done too many evil deeds or have made too many mistakes to be worthy of salvation. Or you may be saying to yourself; “I’m a good person and that’s all I need.” The Bible says in Romans 3:23 (NIV) “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” There is nothing that you can do to earn the gift of salvation. You can not pray enough prayers or perform enough good deeds. There is not a person on earth that deserves salvation. Yet the Lord Jesus Christ freely offers it to us that we might live abundantly and have eternal life in Him. All we have to do is receive it. If you would like to receive salvation and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, please pray this prayer aloud to Him:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I repent for every sin that I have ever committed. I ask that You would forgive me of my sins and wash me clean with Your blood. I ask You Lord Jesus to come into my heart and to be the Lord of my life. I give You access to my life, my heart, my will, and my emotions. I ask that You would transform me Lord from the inside out by the power of the Holy Spirit. I ask that You would fill me with Your presence now Lord. I receive You Lord. I receive salvation; and I thank you that from this day forward I will never be the same again.
In Jesus Mighty Name I Pray, Amen

If you just prayed that prayer I want you to know that you have received salvation and have become a child of the Most High God. Your life is now in the hands of Jesus Christ. While you are on this earth you can walk with the Lord and have a personal relationship with Him; and when you pass from this life you will be joined with the Lord in heaven and have eternal life with Him. I encourage you to talk to God, and to pray and seek Him in your daily life. I encourage you to purchase a Bible and begin to read daily. I recommend starting your reading in the New Testament; Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and so on. Reading these Books of the Bible will teach you about Jesus; who He is, what He did as He walked the earth; and it will teach you about His death and resurrection. It is in your daily time with the Lord and your fellowship with Him that you will begin to know Him more and learn in greater depth who He is. Be encouraged this day as you begin your walk with the Lord and embark on this amazing journey.

Date Idea of the Month- Purchase or rent the DVD “FireProof” and watch it with your spouse. This is an amazing film that will bring inspiration and hope to your marriage and life to your spirit. After watching the film, take some time to think about what you can improve on in your relationship and marriage. Then, try to take a principle or idea from the film and apply it to your relationship. For example; surprise your loved one with flowers or a home cooked meal over candles and good conversation.

Movie Must See- "FireProof"

“FireProof” is an amazing film about a young couple who must overcome the challenges of marriage. The bond they share is tried and tested, and their love is put to the ultimate test. This couple must decide whether love is worth fighting for. As they say; “Never leave a man behind.” In this heartwarming story the motto is; “Never leave your partner behind.” This film is filled with heart, hope, and inspiration. This film is starring Kirk Cameron, who formerly starred on the television show, "Growing Pains."

Obey the Lord...

Volume 2.2

Welcome to the new Life is for Living for 2009. We are excited about the Life is for Living blog and hope you are too! Each month we will be posting a new Life is for Living blog for you to enjoy. We believe that the Lord created each human being with a purpose, a destiny, and a future. The Lord loves all people and desires for each of you to know Him as your Lord and Savior. As you obey God and choose to place your life in His hands, you can be assured that He is there; and He will not fail you or let you down. He is calling out to you each and everyday. The question is; are you listening? When you go throughout your day and walk out the busyness of your life try to remember to stop, listen for God’s voice, thank Him for His many blessings, and enjoy His beautiful creation! Remember that "Life is for Living!"

Daily Bread- The Lord desires for you to take refuge in Him and to place your life in His hands. It is in Him that you will find peace, joy, comfort, and protection. The Bible teaches that there is a covering and a hedge of protection for every believer; and that you can find refuge and safety in Christ Jesus through your obedience and cooperation with Him. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, is with each Christian leading, guiding, and speaking to you the way that you are to go. It is vital not to ignore the voice of the Holy Spirit; and not to choose to walk in a way that is displeasing to God. When an individual chooses to go in a direction that is contrary to the will of God for their lives, they put themselves in harms way and open themselves up to fall into the pitfalls and traps that the devil has set before them. The Bible teaches that the devil roams about like a lion seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

On a daily basis the Holy Spirit will speak to your heart and warn you not to do something or not to go to a specific place. There are times when listening and obeying His voice will save your very life. The Lord puts in place guidelines and instructions for a person’s life not to control or inhibit them, but to liberate them. He desires to keep His people safe and protected from harm and from the wiles and traps of the devil.

An example of this is displayed in the Scriptures. In Matthew 2:13-15 and 19-23 (NIV) it says; “when they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. ‘Get up,’ he said, ‘take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.’ So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, ‘Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead.’ So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth.”

This passage of scripture refers to baby Jesus, His mother Mary, and His father Joseph. King Herod was enraged with jealousy because of the birth of Jesus Christ, the King and Lord. Due to King Herod’s jealousy, he went forth with a plot to try to kill Jesus. In order to save the life of Jesus, Joseph obeyed God and went to Egypt. Joseph’s obedience to God saved the life of his Son; and put his family in a place of security from death and harm.

This passage of scripture reveals two very important truths. First, it reveals the importance of listening to God’s voice. The Lord speaks to His people in many ways. In this Biblical passage He spoke to Joseph through a dream. Joseph had a personal relationship with God. Therefore, he recognized God’s voice. He knew that He was speaking to him; and he listened intently to what He was saying.

All Christians have the promise of hearing God’s voice. This is His desire and will for you; to know Him and to fellowship with Him. How then can you hear His voice? Take for instance a child. As a child grows they learn the voice of their father. If their father calls for them, they know exactly who it is. The child knows their father’s voice because of all the time they have spent with him. How much more is it and should it be with your Heavenly Father? As you fellowship with God and come to know Him more, you learn His voice and who He is.

Secondly, this passage of scripture reveals the importance of obeying God’s voice. There are many individuals who hear God’s voice, but they do not obey Him when He speaks to them. They treat His presence as common and do not hold fast to the instructions He gives to them. Had Joseph chosen not to obey God, there could have been detrimental consequences. This passage is just one Biblical example of how listening and obeying can serve as a rescue for your life.

How then can you learn to obey God when He speaks to you? Take for instance a young lady who has a boyfriend she knows she should not be spending time with. It is a Friday night and her boyfriend calls asking if she wants to go out to a movie. The Lord speaks to the young lady not to go out with this young man and to walk away from the relationship. In this moment, this young lady has a decision to make; to obey God or to disobey God. If she chooses to obey God in what He is asking of her, then she will begin to change on the inside. She will begin to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name because she is choosing to deny her flesh, take up her cross, and follow Christ. As you make the decisions He is calling you to make you will begin to change inside. You will become more sensitive to God’s Spirit, you will become more Christ like; and you will begin to live a life of intimacy and fellowship before the Lord.

Today, I encourage you to be still and silent before the Lord. I encourage you to give Him an opportunity to speak to your heart; and to guide you in the way that you are to go. I encourage you to listen to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit within you and to obey His leadings and guiding in your life. I encourage you to allow God to transform your heart through your listening and obedience to His voice.

You can start by praying this prayer aloud to the Lord;

Dear Lord Jesus,

I ask that You would forgive me for the times when I have not been obedient to Your voice. I ask that You would be the head of my life and that You would lead, guide, and direct me in all that I do. From this day forward, I commit to walking in Your way and in obedience to Your Holy Spirit. I ask that You would keep me Lord and protect me. I ask that You would help me to hear Your voice more clearly and help me to be more willing to obey. I thank You for this, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Date Idea of the Month- In today’s economy many couples don’t have the extra money to go out on a date. Even though times are tough, it shouldn’t prevent you from spending time with the one you love. Cook a nice meal at home. Afterwards, take your spouse or loved one out for ice cream. This is a simple and cost effective date, and gives you an opportunity to be with the one you love.
Movie Must See- “Faith Like Potatoes”

This is a truly inspirational story about a man who finds hope, love, and redemption in Jesus Christ. He learns to have "Faith Like Potatoes,"and goes forward dedicating his life to the ministry and sharing faith, love, and hope with others. This is a movie must see! You can rent or purchase this heartwarming story on DVD.

Music Must Hear- MercyMe's "Finally Home" from the album "All That is Within Me" is a beautiful and touching song about a man who desires to see the Lord and meet his Dad one day when he gets to heaven. Bible Verse of the Month- “All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to.” (Deuteronomy 28:2-8) NIV

Trust in the Lord...

Volume 2.1

Welcome to the new Life Is For Living for 2009. We are excited about the Life Is For Living blog and hope you are too! Each month we will be posting a new Life Is For Living Blog for you to enjoy. We believe that the Lord created each human being with a purpose, a destiny, and a future. It is important to remember to trust the Lord and to put our hope in Him. As we place our faith in Jesus Christ and believe in His promises for our lives, we can have hope for the future and for a brighter tomorrow. When you go throughout your day and walk out the busyness of your life try to remember to stop, thank God for His many blessings, and enjoy God's beautiful creation! Remember that "Life Is For Living!"

Daily Bread- In today’s day and age times are very tough for many people. There are those that are losing their jobs, homes, and life savings. It can be very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel and to keep believing for a better day. Whatever you may be facing in your life, there is good news! In Christ there is hope for a brighter tomorrow.

The Bible teaches that the Lord is a present help in a time of need (Psalm 46:1); and that no matter what circumstances you may be facing in your life, be it good or bad, God is a merciful and gracious God, ready and able to meet your needs, and willing to pull you out of every trying and painful circumstance. The Bible reveals to us that God can turn what the devil meant for evil for His good (Romans 8:28). This means that no matter what you are walking through in your life, God can turn your circumstance around and good can come from your pain, sorrow, and suffering.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) says; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” As you place your trust in Jesus Christ and lean upon Him, you can find comfort and strength knowing that your life is in His hand; and that He is present to supply all of your needs.

In Matthew 14:13-21 (NIV) the scripture says; "When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick. As evening approached, the disciples came to Him and said, 'This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.' Jesus replied, 'They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.' 'We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,' they answered. 'Bring them here to me,' He said. And He directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children."

This passage of scripture displays three very important truths. One, in this passage it reveals the Lord’s willingness to take care of His people. The disciples came to Jesus suggesting that He send the people away to go get food. Jesus replied by telling the disciples that the people could stay and be fed right where they were. Jesus could have told the crowd to leave and get food for themselves; but Jesus did not do this. He provided for the people and made sure that they were well taken care of.

Second, this passage of scripture reveals the Lord’s ability to take care of His people. Jesus healed the individuals there who were sick and had ailments; in addition to feeding the individuals who were hungry and in need of food. Although there were only two fish and five loaves of bread available, it did not prevent Jesus from working a miracle and providing for a crowd of more than 5,000 individuals. He fed the people until they were full and satisfied, having some left over as well.

Third, this passage of scripture reveals the importance of believing and trusting in the Lord to supply your needs. The people in attendance that day received from God’s hand because they chose to believe and they chose to put their faith in Jesus Christ. The people could have left the meeting and gone to seek out food elsewhere. The people could have chosen not to believe that the Lord could bring forth a miracle and provide for their needs. The individuals in attendance made a decision to have faith, to wait upon the Lord, and to partake in God’s divine blessings. They received their miracle that day.

It is important in your Christian walk to remember that you have an important role to play. Your part is to have faith, to believe, and to choose to receive from the hand of your Master. When you come to the Lord with a willing spirit and an open heart, filled with faith and expectancy for your miracle, you position yourself to enter into all of the many blessings that He has in store for your life. The Bible says; “All things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23) NAS

No matter what your needs may be the Lord Jesus can meet every single one of them. I encourage you to open your heart to the Lord and all of the many blessings He desires to bestow upon your life. I encourage you to seek the Lord; and to spend time praying and asking God for what you have need of. I encourage you to cry out to Him and share with Him your heart, your sufferings, your grievances, and your hopes for the future and for your life. The Lord Jesus Christ loves you more than you could ever know. He is listening and He is waiting for you today.

You can start by praying this prayer aloud to the Lord;

Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive me of my sins and wash me clean with Your blood. Forgive me Lord for any unbelief or anger in my heart. I give You my life, my finances, my marriage, my hopes, my dreams, and my desires. I ask You to fill my heart with Your presence and Your peace; and I ask You to meet all of my needs. I ask for a miracle from heaven. I ask for You to supply all my needs financially, emotionally, physically, and mentally. I pray that You would watch over me Lord; and I pray that You would keep me and my family, and that You would be the head of my life and in the midst of my circumstance Oh Lord. I thank You that You have heard my prayer this day and that You will answer. I believe and so I receive this day. I thank You Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen. Amen. And Amen!

Date Idea of the Month- Take your spouse or loved one out for coffee. While you’re sitting and sipping coffee, tell your loved one how much they mean to you. Also, spend time talking and sharing with one another. Share about your day, your feelings, and your hopes and dreams. It’s important to make time for the one you love and to communicate with them what’s on your heart. This small gesture can really mean a great deal to your loved one!

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31) NIV

Movie Must See- “Rudy”
"Rudy" is an account of the life of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger who had the dream of playing football at the University of Notre Dame. He grew up in a steel mill town where most people ended up working out of high school, but he wanted to play football and go to college. He had just a few hurdles to overcome; his grades were a little low, his athletic skills were sub-par, he was only half the size of the other players, and no one believed in him. But he had drive, spirit, and determination and set his sights upon joining the team. Despite these significant obstacles he achieved his dream and proved that we should never give up, but press on until we achieve our goals.

God Has a Plan...

Volume 1.2

Welcome to this month's Life Is For Living. We are excited about the Life Is For Living blog and hope you are too! We believe that the Lord created each human being with a purpose, a destiny, and a future. As people, we must remember that life is meant to be enjoyed and not rushed through. We should live life in success and not defeat. When you go throughout your day and walk out the busyness of your life try to remember to stop, thank God for the blessings in your life, and enjoy God's beautiful creation! Remember that "Life Is For Living!"

Food For Thought- "For I know the plans that I have for you , declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11) NAS The Lord has a special plan for your life. He has a purpose and a destiny designed especially for you. I encourage you to give your life to Jesus Christ and ask Him to reveal himself to you in a new and fresh way; and to reveal to you the plan and purpose He has for your life.

The Bible says; "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish , but have eternal life." (John 3:16) NAS The first step to understanding your destiny is knowing the Lord Jesus Christ and giving your life to Him. If you would like to receive Jesus into your heart and accept Him as your Lord and savior, then repeat this prayer aloud; "Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and become the Lord of my Life. I renounce the devil and all the powers of darkness; and I ask you to fill me with your presence and forgive me of all my sins. I ask you to wash me clean with the blood of Jesus Christ. I thank you that from this day forward I will walk with you, and you will walk with me. I thank you that I will never be alone and that your presence will always be with me all the days of my life. I ask you to reveal yourself to me in a new and fresh way; and I ask you to show me the plan and purpose you have for my life. I thank you that my name is now written in the "Lambs Book of Life" and that when I pass from this earthly life, I will go to heaven and spend eternity with you. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

If you just prayed that prayer, you have become saved by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. Your sins have been forgiven and your name has been written in "The Lambs Book of Life." This means that when you pass from this life, you will go to heaven and spend eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ. I encourage you to purchase a Bible and read it daily, to fill yourself with the knowledge of God's word. I also encourage you to pray and talk to the Lord daily so that your fellowship and relationship with Him can grow and flourish. Be encouraged this day on your road to discovery!

Date Idea Of The Month- Do something for your spouse or loved one this month. This is a time to be selfless. If your husband loves the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), surprise him with tickets to the event. If your wife wants to see a musical, surprise her with a night of dinner and theater. If your husband has always wanted you to go golfing with him, but it's not your thing; this month make it your thing and go for a ride with him in the cart. If she loves "Dancing With the Stars," surprise her with a couple's ballroom dancing lesson. Remember, the most important thing is being with the one you love, and showing interest in their interests.

"Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) NAS
